Platform Guide
Everything you can build with today, on one map. Four layers, one Worker.
This is reference: the guided path teaches the parts you need inside each step, so nothing here is required.
| Layer | What it gives you | Primitives |
|---|---|---|
| 1. SDKs | How you write the agent: the loop, the state, the tools. | Agents SDK, Think, Flue, AI SDK (Vercel) |
| 2. Agent primitives | What makes it an agent and not a completion call: memory, models, search, a browser, a computer. | Durable Objects, Workers AI, AI Search, Browser Run, Sandbox SDK, Containers |
| 3. Full-stack primitives | The app around the agent: compute, data, files, durable pipelines, schedules. | Workers, D1, R2, KV, Workflows, Queues (plus Cron) |
| 4. Governance & security | The same platform secures what you built: the model path, the user path, the tool path. | AI Gateway, AI Security for Apps + WAF, Secure MCP |
How the layers compose into an agent
- An SDK (layer 1) gives you the loop: model, tools, memory.
- Agent primitives (layer 2) give it state, models, search, a browser and a computer.
- Full-stack primitives (layer 3) give it an app: compute, data, files, durable pipelines, schedules.
- Governance & security (layer 4) wraps all three paths: user to app, agent to model, agent to tools.
- Bindings compose them in one Worker, so the whole agent ships with one
wrangler deploy.
Using it with your coding agent
Ask the event MCP server: get_platform_guide with a layer (sdks, agent-primitives, full-stack, governance) or a
primitive id (e.g. workflows) returns the same content as these pages.
